Oncology
Oncology is a branch of medicine dedicated to the study, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cancer. A medical doctor who specializes in oncology is known as an oncologist, and they often lead a multidisciplinary care team consisting of various professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. The term originates from the Greek word onkos, meaning "tumor" or "mass".
